| The First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University is a large-scale general hospital which integrates medical treatment, teaching, scientific research and cadre health care. The hospital was established in 1941 and was originally affiliated to the Medical College of National Yunnan University (Yunda Hospital). In 1993, it was appraised by the Ministry of Health as the first batch of "Grade III A hospitals". The discipline is complete, the technical strength is strong, the characteristic specialized subject is prominent. At present, the number of beds in hospitals is 4000 (including 1000 in Chenggong), with 57 clinical and medical departments.
