| Shandong Maternal and Child Health Hospital (Shandong Family Planning Research Institute, Shandong Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital) was established in 1989, directly under the Provincial Health and Family Planning Commission, joined the Shandong Provincial Hospital Group in May 2004, and integrated with the former Shandong Institute of Family Planning Science and Technology in November 2016. Provincial Maternal and Child Health Care Institutions include medical treatment, scientific research, teaching, prevention, rehabilitation, maternal and child health care and family planning technical guidance. The hospital has the Key Laboratory of fertility control technology of the State Health and Family Planning Commission and the Key Laboratory of eugenics technology of Shandong Province. It is the only medical institution directly under the Provincial Health and Family Planning Commission that has the qualification of assisted reproductive technology.
The hospital undertakes the work of collecting, collecting and analyzing the information of women and children's health status and its influencing factors in the whole province, carries out scientific and technological research in the fields of maternal and child health care, family planning, eugenic and child-bearing, infertility and reproductive health, organizes and popularizes it, and carries out disease diagnosis and treatment, health care, prevention and family planning technology for the society. Services such as surgery, reproductive health, prenatal screening and neonatal disease screening provide professional guidance and technical support for grass-roots medical and health institutions. |
